Steve Ammidown is an archivist by training, and a historian of the romance genre almost by accident. He has written pieces for Library Journal and Fine Books & Collections about the romance genre, and has been a guest on numerous romance podcasts including Fated Mates, Smart Podcast Trashy Books, Shelf Love, Categorically Romance, The Meet Cute BookPod, and more. He runs romancehistory.com and can be found on Instagram as Romance Historian and BlueSky as (mostly) himself.

Nicole Jackson has a PhD in African American and African Diaspora history. She’s a professor by day who writes erotica, erotic romance, women’s fiction, and historical fiction in her spare time. She writes racially diverse and often queer stories that show love and the world in all its beauty and colors.
